Parker’s Ride VIII is our eighth Iron Butt ride to raise funds and awareness for single moms in North Carolina.
This will be a church-to-church Saddlesore 1000. We’ll start at Duke Chapel in Durham, NC at 5:30am on Saturday, March 23. After a photo, a bike blessing and our first gas stop, we’ll ride to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine and return to Duke Chapel in 24 hours.
This event will raise $500 as an educational grant to a 17 year-old new single mom who is currently living in foster care. She is planning to get her GED this summer and our grant will provide her with the assistance she needs.
Want to ride? We’ll leave Duke Chapel at 5:30am, Saturday March 23, 2019. Remember, don’t show up with a full tank. We’ll be going to a local Sheetz to get our starting receipt before heading out.
Don’t ride but you’d like to join in the fun? If you would like to help us in providing this educational grant, please use the button below. As always, 100% of your donation will go to our selected single mom for her education.
